Ingredients
- 500 g almonds
- 5 egg whites
- 450 g powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of kirsch
Instructions
- Blanch the almonds, drain and cool well; chop them very thin. Beat the egg whites. Add the sieved sugar, reserve one cup of the whites for the bathroom.
- Mix almonds, the cinnamon and the kirsch with whites, work all together and let stand covered for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Sprinkle a smooth surface with sugar, extend over the dough so it has 1 cm of thickness and cut into her stars.
- Cover the stars with bath, place on a baking tray and leave to dry overnight at room temperature.
- Heat oven to 220 degrees and bake the stars during 5 minutes, Respect the time of, cooking. The stars should be soft inside and the surface must be white.
Notes
- If you prefer, cinnamon stars can be placed on a baking sheet sprinkled with ground anise. in this way the pasta acquire a slight anise flavor.
