Classic white rice recipe

White rice is one of those basic recipes that often are taken for known. Despite its simplicity and shortly after that requires, has your trick to stay perfect. Here we go!

  • 1 Cup of rice per two people.
  • 2 glasses of water
  • Medium onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 Avecrem pill
  • Salt

Chop the onion and put it to cook in a small but deep saucepan. While we chop the garlic clove and when the onion begins to color add it. When all doradito, add the rice and stir for 30 seconds.

Then add water and dissolve the half tablet of Avecrem. Add a pinch of salt. Let Cook over medium heat until it absorbs almost all the water (a few 15-20 minutes).

Remove from fire and cover it with a lid or a kitchen towel. We let it rest 5 minutes. And ready!

  • The Avecrem is optional but gives it an interesting aftertaste
  • When removed from the fire must be a tad hard, hardness that will lose during the rest
  • Depending on the rice may require something more than water.
  • There are people who take a pinch of chopped fresh parsley. Never take parsley, canned
