There are many different Swiss steak recipes out there. Swiss Steak recipe is simpler, the most simple version. Some other recipes require the use of Worcestershire sauce and various other chopped vegetables. This is the perfect recipe for those carnivores who don't want to bother with vegetables. Ingredients
  • 1/2 Cup of sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1kg of pulpy meat
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Mix the flour, salt and pepper. Sprinkle the mixture over meat.
  2. Mix the meat with a mallet for meat or potato masher evenly until the meat is of approximately 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 4 porciones.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the meat and Cook, giving them back once, until they are golden brown on both sides (4-6 minutes).
  4. Put the meat in the oven.
  5. Add onions, tomatoes, stirring to mix. Pour over meat. Cover dish with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake at 175 C until the meat is tender when pricked with a fork, approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
