Ingredients
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 Yeast powder sachet
  • 500 g cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 Vanilla powder bag
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped almonds
  • 2 spoonful raisins
  • 4 tablespoons of mixed dried candied fruits
  • 4 tablespoons candied lemon rind
  • 4 tablespoons of candied orange peel or 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 6 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1 spoon gives vanilla powder
For the oven tray
  • butter or margarine and flour
Instructions
  1. Grease a baking tray and sprinkle it with flour. Heat oven to 190". Mix the flour with the hard cam, Sift on a smooth surface and make a hole in the center, introducing cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, vanilla, Salt, lemon zest and dried fruits.
  2. Work everything until you get a consistent dough, Form a loaf and place on the baking tray.
  3. Cook during 60 minutes in the bottom of the oven. Pour the bread on a rack and paint it with butter when it is all way hot.
  4. Mix the powdered sugar with the vanilla and sift a thick layer over the Christmas bread.
