  • 500 g flour
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 500 g of cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 sachet of vanilla powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds
  • 2 spoon of raisins
  • 4 tablespoons of dried candied fruits mixed
  • 4 tablespoons candied lemon crust
  • 4 tablespoons of candied orange bark or 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 6 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1 spoon da vanilla powder
For the oven tray
  • butter or margarine and flour
  1. Grease a baking sheet and sprinkle with flour. Heat oven to 190". Mix the flour with the hard cam, sift on a smooth surface and make a hole in the center, introducing the requesón, eggs, sugar, vanilla, Salt, lemon zest and dried fruits.
  2. Work everything to a consistent mass, form a loaf and place on the baking sheet.
  3. Cook during 60 minutes in the bottom of the oven. Dump the bread on a rack and paint it with butter when it's all way hot.
  4. Mix the powdered sugar with the vanilla and sift a thick layer over the Christmas bread.
