Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 250 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon anise grains
- the bark of 1/3 grated lemon
For the oven tray
- butter and flour
Instructions
- Grease two baking trays with butter and sprinkle flour over the top. Sift the flour in a dish. Beat the sugar together with the eggs until you get a frothy dough and add the flour by the tablespoons.
- Add the anise seeds and lemon zest. Form the dough into rounded bars the thickness of a finger. Cut pieces of 5-6 cm long and form crescents with them. Cut three oblique cuts at the top of the crescents with a thin knife.
- Place the pasta on the baking tray and let it rest overnight at room temperature. Heat oven to 190 degrees.
- Cook the crescents at medium height for 10-15 minutes.
Notes
- The crescent is the typical shape of these pastas. If you want to finish sooner. Bars can be cut into discs of equal thickness. Make a few cuts and continue working them as the recipe indicates.
