  • 500 g flour
  • 30 g pressed yeast
  • 1/4 l of lukewarm milk
  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • the bark of 1/2 grated lemon
On the other hand
  • 1 egg yolk

  1. Grease an oven tray. Sift the flour in a dish, make a hole in the Center and remove the yeast crumbled with the lukewarm milk and a little flour.
  2. Leave to ferment the dough top da during 15 minutes. Melt the butter or margarine, beat it with sugar, the egg, the salt and the bark of lemon and work with previous mass and the rest of the flour until it bubbles.
  3. Let ferment others 15 minutes. Heat oven to 200 degrees. Divide the dough into pieces the same size and make each piece with a small ball and a stick thin and another thicker.
  4. Make them figures as shown pictured above.
  5. Cut strips with the rest of the dough and decorate with them figures. Paint the men of Christmas with whipped egg yolk and cook to medium height during 20-25 minutes.
  6. Remove the tray from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
