Ingredients
  • 500 g of pork and veal, minced
  • 1/4 cup of dried apricots,fine chopped
  • 4 well chopped chives
  • 2 teaspoons of sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 little beaten egg
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons of freshly grated bread
  • 1 large red pepper
  • oil for frying
  • 1 Italian cake, cut in quarters
  • sprigs of peas to decorate
Yogurt sauce
  • 1/4 Cup of plain yogurt
  • 2 or 3 teaspoons of honey
  • 1 or 2 teaspoons of tahina (sesame paste) or peanut butter
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
To prepare the sauce
  1. mix the yogurt with the honey, tahina or peanut butter and garlic in a bowl; get it right.
The other
  1. Knead the minced meat together with the apricots in a bowl, spring onions, chilli sauce, garlic, salt and pepper, the egg and bread crumbs. Form with the resulting dough 4 round lots, cover them and leave them in the fridge about 10 minutes.
  2. Cut the pepper in half, remove the seeds and membrane, place it on the grill, smeared with oil, and leave it in the preheated oven some 5 minutes or until the skin turns black.
  3. Then cover it with a damp cloth and let it cool. Once cold, peel it and cut it into Band-Aids.
  4. In a heavy-bottomed pan with oil, cold portions for a few 3 minutes per side or until golden brown and well done.
  5. Let them drain on absorbent paper. Cut the cake horizontally and roast the inner face of the slices a little; butter them to taste and serve them on individual plates topped with sprigs of peas, the burger, pepper strips, yogurt sauce and the other half of the Italian cake.
