Peas with ham and egg
The peas with ham are a classic. A great way to eat this vegetable (that many mistakenly consider vegetable) is combining with our star, the serrano ham. The pea is the poor unknown of legumes, and it hides many beneficial properties for our health, including the regulation of blood sugar levels in blood and the high number of antioxidants containing.

Ingredients (for 4 people)
  • 500 g frozen peas (the ideal thing would be cool, but their season is short and its high cost)

In a frying pan or a casserole, We take a light olive oil base. We cut the onion the finest that we can and put it to poach. Add the diced ham and pour peas previously cooled in water.

Cover the pan with a lid and let Cook for about five minutes. We take them remotely from salt. Stir well. Remove from the fire.

We serve dishes and accompany with egg. The egg can be cooked, Fried or poached.

  • There is another version consisting of peas Cook five minutes since the water begins to boil and then simply Sauté them.
  • Also it can beat a couple of eggs and dumped on the peas with ham, being a sort of scrambled eggs.
