  • 450 g honey
  • 250 g sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • a pinch of salt
  • 30 g candied lemon rind
  • 30 g of candied orange rind
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 aromatic ground cloves teaspoon
  • 1 100 g flour
  • 2 bags of baking powder
On the other hand
  • 1/2 Cup of currant jelly
  • 200 g of semi-sweet chocolate chips
For the oven tray

  1. Spread one or two trays from the oven with butter or margarine. Heat the honey with sugar and butter stirring, until everything has melted forming a homogeneous mass.
  2. Remove from heat and continue stirring until it is warm. Beat eggs with salt. Chop very fine candied orange and lemon rinds and add to the mass of honey along with the beaten eggs, cinnamon, cloves and flour sifted with yeast.
  3. Work the dough well and spread it on a floured surface so that it has 1 cm thick.
  4. Heat oven to 220 degrees. Cut hearts in the mass. place on the baking tray and cook for 15 minutes to half-height.
  5. Spread currant jelly at the bottom of the hearts when they are still hot and join them two by two.
  6. Melt the chocolate to bath and insert half of ca da already cold heart.
