  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g of starch
  • 1/2 sachet of baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons of rum
  • 5 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons coarse sugar
  1. Beat the butter with the sugar and salt until creamy. Add yolks of egg one by one and beat well. Sift the flour with the starch and yeast. Add to butter mixture and knead until a consistent dough.
  2. Divide it into two parts and mix one with rum and the other with the cocoa powder. Let stand covered parties during 1 hour minimum in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat oven to 190 degrees. Extend the mass of clear and the dark separately on a floured surface so that they are 1/2 cm. of thickness and divide into two equal parts.
  4. Overlap sheets light and dark alternating and tighten securely. Cut pieces into the mass of 2 X 3 size cm.
  5. Sprinkle coarse sugar over each piece and tighten it a little. Cook the zebras during 10-15 minutes to half-height.
  6. Remove the pasta from the baking sheet with the help of a knife and leave to cool on a wire rack.
